Robust bi-directional exchange
Robust bi-directional data exchange increases our understanding of the challenges that students in foster care face. States can link key foster care and K–12 data to ensure that students in foster care are supported throughout their education with access to a full range of educational opportunities, including higher education. States can also use data to improve program implementation (including of education stability requirements); identify challenges and track progress toward improving outcomes;educate new stakeholders; guide state agencies on where to target their resources; and facilitate collaboration across state agencies.
